Luhur Poten Temple Bromo
The expanse of the vast sea of sand with the towering Mount Batok, the beautiful Mount Bromo, and surrounded by mountains and hills, becomes an extraordinary charm on Mount Bromo, which is in the Tengger region, East Java. The temple was named Mount Bromo Pura Luhur Poten. This temple is a place of worship for the Hindu Tengger people. Luhur Poten Temple was established in 2000. This temple became the place of worship of Dewa Brohmo (Lord Brahma), which became the manifestation of Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa as the Creator. The name Bromo itself is taken from the name of God Brohmo.
Luhur Poten Temple consists of several buildings arranged in a composition composition in the yard which is divided into three mandalas / zones. Each Main Mandala is a place of worship worship in which a Padma (place of worship), Mandala Madya (center) as a place of preparation and accompaniment of worship ceremony, Mandala Nista (front) is a place of transition from outside to temple.
Each mandala / zone has a temple of Bentar which is the entrance to Javanese and Balinese architecture. The temple grounds are limited by the walls of penyengker with their creations in accordance with the beauty of the architecture.
Temple buildings generally face west, entering the temple heading to the east as well as worship and worship facing east towards the rising of the sun. The main tourist destination is Penanjakan I, which is the most exotic place to watch the sunrise (sunrise) from behind the mountains.
