TOURISM TIPS
- The island which is located around 15 kilometers or about 50 minutes drive from Labuan Bajo can be reached by using a motorized boat or speed boat. Boat rental prices for one way
- There is also a free shuttle boat facility from Labuan Bajo to Kanawa Island provided by the resort manager on Kanawa Island. The shuttle boat has a specified time to depart from Labuan Bajo to Kanawa Island at 12:00 WIT and return from Kanawa Island to Labuan Bajo at 08:00 CEST.
- The best time to visit this island is during the summer.
- Don’t forget to bring enough cash because this island is not facilitated with an ATM. Or at least bring something valuable that might be pawned if trapped.
- There are no shops or supermarkets in this area, so don’t forget to bring toiletries, food or snacks, medicines, mosquito repellent and reading books or other games to spend time in this place.
- Do not be surprised if the lights on Kanawa Island die when at 8 pm, because that is the way it is. But, this will be an exciting experience, because you can feel the sensation of seeing stars and moons clearly because this area will be pitch black without electricity.
