Bair Island
MALUKU owns Kei Island which has been known for its beauty. But besides Kei Island, Maluku also has a number of islands and beautiful beaches that are still hidden. No wonder Maluku became a favorite destination for lovers of marine tourism. Crossing from Kei Island, you can find Bair Island whose charm is no less beautiful. In fact, this island is touted as the Minions version of Raja Ampat from Maluku.
Don’t believe? You can see its beauty from the colors of turquoise waters and rock cliffs that soar around the island. The hills in the middle of the waters covered with green plants are reminiscent of the small hills in the Raja Ampat Islands. Bair Island is located in Tual, Southeast Maluku Regency, Maluku Province. To get to this island, you have to travel from Tual to Dullah Village for 30 minutes. Then continue the journey by crossing from Dullah Pier using a fast boat for 1 hour. During the sea trip, you will be spoiled with its turquoise waters and clear waters. You can also watch the mangrove trees that surround the island. If you are lucky, you can also see the blacpit shark children living in these waters.
You can also see Adrenan Island which has beauty with soft white sand. Bair Island itself is surrounded by towering rock cliffs, making it look so beautiful. During low tide, the beach with white sand will be clearly visible on this island. The uniqueness of this island is the existence of two bays with clear turquoise sea water, with the beauty of the marine park basically that we can see from the surface.
There are various types of mangroves and rocky cliffs that are high on the island. This is the first sight visitors will enjoy once they arrive on Bair Island. If we walk a little towards the waters, we will see a bay flanked by two large and beautiful rock cliffs. Another uniqueness of this island is that when the sea water is receding, we can see some beaches that we can go on foot.
But if it’s high tide, the calm and clear view of the sea can also fascinate us. If you are lucky, you will meet the Blacktip shark children, who are there. Come in March to August, when the waters are quite calm and the weather is nice. Because above August, rainfall tends to be higher.
You can rent a local boat and explore turquoise waters that will not be found elsewhere. The sensation of walking through the waters casually and seeing the surrounding scenery will make it an unforgettable experience in life. You can also walk down the dead aisle, which is a narrow waterway flanked by two towering rock hills. This is also one of the best photo spots on Bair Island. In addition to traversing the waters, visitors can also do other activities such as snorkeling, diving, sunbathing and enjoying quality time for themselves.
